Monica Brown


Monica is dealing with a serious blood infection which destroyed her heart valve. In addition part of the infection on her heart valve broke loose causing a massive stroke. She has had the blockage that caused the stroke removed and open heart surgery to replace her heart valve.  Because of the stroke related swelling she had to have part of her skull removed. She is ate the Shepherd Center where she will undergo at least a month of intense rehab.

While we do not yet know the extent of her disabilities, they will be substantial. We plan on selling our home because it is not designed for someone in a wheelchair and not practical to alter. Short term we will be converting Monica’s father in laws house so she has a place to stay after she is released from Shepherd Center. Long term plans are to design a house designed for her.

Because of being in three hospitals, multiple surgeries and the Shepherd Center the medical bills even after insurance will be substantial. In addition we will need to do substantial alterations to make a house accessible to her.  Any donation will be greatly appreciated. God bless you.
