Monastery renovations

We are a Traditional Monastery of enclosed Carmelite nuns who greatly would appreciate your help. There has been a Monastery on this site for 100 years, and your support is vital to us, to help us make all the necessary renovations to our Monastery, in the hope that it will remain for another 100 years. The funds will be used to repair rotting wood fascias on the roof, to renew and decorate so many window frames and sills, to help us to replace our many disused spotlights around the grounds, ensuring  our security. In addition, your generosity of heart would enable us to replace our crumbling pathway around the house. We have much electrical work to be done also, both inside and outside of the building. Likewise, we are also hoping to put up a garden room in the back garden of our extern house. This would be particularly aimed at groups, who would like to come and share our environment of Monastic prayer and silence. There has been much interest expressed in this, and we would like very much to be able to welcome people here, encouraging them to experience the atmosphere of the Monastery,  our life of prayer, and the Sacred Latin Liturgy. The funds are most urgently needed before the winter sets in, as the timbers need to be treated before the frost and rain. Our Monastery is at the centre of our community in the town,  and we would like to think that it would always be a place where people can come and find solace, a place of peace and hope in their lives.
