Mommy's Going Home To Peace

Mommy deserves a proper funeral and unfortunately we didn't have insurance to cover her untimely death. My mother's name is Defany Houston she was born on Valentine's Day and this day was so fitting to her personality, my mom had a heart of gold she would give you the shirt off of her back & food from her plate. My mom passed away in her sleep (4) days after I last seen her. God allowed me to spend some time with her before she passed away mommy was only 61 yrs of old. I talked to mommy every other day, so when I had not heard from her in two days I naturally panicked because she loved talking on the phone and you can always count on mommy returning your calls.
I called the front office to my mom's building to have a wellness check done on her. 30 minutes later I heard my phone ring and of course I thought it was mommy calling me back, unfortunately it was the manager of mommy's building calling to give me an update. That was the most devastating call I've ever had in my life, I was in disbelief when the building manager told me mommy had passed away. My sibling and I live out of state so we felt so helpless and loss to hear that our mommy laid in that bed alone for a day before her body was found lifeless. I thank God that mommy will no longer suffer from pain & ailments.
