This fund raiser is for a start up BJJ school that will be located on the South Shore of Montreal. Me (Vee) and David are the primary masterminds behind this project.
Our vision is to be able to build a stronger community through stronger individuals. Therefore being a victim of bullying at a young age I leaned how to defend myself and build self esteem through martial art. We want to be able to help the community around us, starting from children to the elderly popuplation
We base our project on these five core values: Family, Community, Respect, Empowerment and Selflessness .
We are living in generation in which the baby boomer are dominating by number. This population is aging and we, the millennial are less in numbers to take care of them. We want to promote physical activities with the elderly population and give back to the community as well.
Our mission statement is simple: Redefine our limits.
The mission says it all, we believe that movement in life. Therefore by encouraging physical activity we are encouraging the consciousness of a healthy living.
By doing so, the center will offer activities such as Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi and BJJ for everyone. Adding to it, there will be other services to help promotes the wellness and holistic aspect to ones health. Professionals such as massage therapist, athletic therapist and others will work in collaboration to promote a healthy leaving. We want everyone to feel that they are taking charge of their own lives and taking care of.
This project will also the be learning center for different education seminar: from BJJ to self-defense class (for the elderly population, kids and women( to Yoga to Wellness (such as learning how to calculated calories, knowing portions, natural healing etc).
This fund will help generate the start up cost of basic renovation, the online tools, interac machine, etc. We want to collect the 17k for January 2019. More details will be available in our blog Tumbler so please follow up on Facebook and Instagram as well.
