Molen Family Fund

Our dear friend Kevin Molen was helping his neighbor and took a nasty fall from a 10ft ladder, fracturing his acetabular in multiple places. He is currently in a wheelchair and is in a rehabilitation center after being released from Harborview Hospital. After surgery, he was told by his surgeon that he could not put any weight on his right leg for a minimum of three months. Total recovery will take up to 9 months but Kevin is determined and is hoping to return to work as a landscape gardener in February. 



Kevin is self-employed and runs his own small landscaping business in the Maple Valley/Eastside area. His clients have all been extremely supportive but unfortunately, Kevin and his family will lose at least 4 months of his income from their household. Kevin's business brings in $4,000 p/month to help support his young family, his wife Amber who works full-time, son Davis (13) and two daughters Reagan (14) and Kaidence (8). This is why we have set our fundraising goal at $16,000, this the equivalent of 4 months income for Kevin while he is unable to work and in rehabilitation. All funds raised will go directly to the Molen family so they can put it towards their monthly bills.



Kevin and Amber Molen are extremely active in their local community. They are known for their volunteer work and giving back and serving their community every chance they get. It is no coincidence that Kevin fell whilst trying to help his neighbor trim a tree!

We would like to help this modest, kind and hard-working family through this difficult time and alleviate some of their financial burden by raising enough money to cover their bills for the next few months.
