Brian's Mobility Fund

My name is Brian. Eight years ago my youngest Son and I were pedestrians and were hit by a car. He was in and out of the hospital within three hours and didn't get any broken bones. I tried my best to save him from getting injured and it seemed to work. I suffered a compound fracture to my left ankle. My body whipped around to the side of the car and my head bounced off a few times. I almost died in the street but, luckily, firemen quickly responded. I almost died again in the ambulance on the way to the trauma room. While they were operating on me I almost died again. I was in a coma for three days. As a result, I still have a hard time walking to this day. My back hurts all the time and so does my ankle. I also have memory problems because of the head injury. My ankle and back are in constant pain and I have been denied Disability four times. It is very hard for me to walk. I do use a cane but, it is getting harder. I saw a mobility scooter someone is selling for six hundred dollars. We live in a rural area with dirt roads. The scooter has big tires that would work on the roads very well. The scooter would make it much easier for me to go to the school bus with my boys and even take them out to play.

 My wife works but, we barley make ends meet and have no extra money. I have suffered pain for the past eight years and it is getting more difficult for me to walk. I even have issues with balance. The scooter would make it so much easier for me to get around and I would be able to do much more things. It would not take away the pain but, I could still get around better. Thank you and God Bless.
