My dad slipped and fell on ice, two days later he started complaining about a headache, drove himself to the clinic, where they quickly noticed something was wrong and sent him by ambulance to the DCH where they kept him over night for observation. Next morning they informed us that he has a brain bleed and they will be sending him to the the best of the best at the VGH to find out what’s going on, and to help. My dad was flown out in a rush, unfortunately they did not allow any passengers and the soonest flight to head out was in two days! My mother and I decided to drive down since we could make it there faster. My mom shouldn’t be flying anyways because the pressure can actually burst her ear drums so driving just worked out. Unfortunately all these things come at a cost. And my mom can’t afford to stay out of work to be able to be 1200km away from home. So I am starting this campaign to raise money so that stressing about money is the last thing my mom has to do right now while waiting for the love of her life to hopefully come out of this ok. The doctors have already informed us that usually with any brain damage someone is never the same again afterwards, so even after healing, then the process of rehabilitation comes into play, and this whole process could take months/years to get him back into a good routine of life. Please, if anyone can help, any little bit counts.
