Help Rocky

I am starting this page to try and help my brother Scott, Sister-in-Law Nicole, and Nephew Merrick. Their beloved dog Rocky is having a difficult time with his galblader & liver. He has been in and out of the vet and they have already paid over $1500 in vet bills. 

They truly feel he still has a few good years in him. He is an American Cockerspaniel and is about 9 years old. 

The vet is confident if they did surgery on him, he would recouperate just fine and still live a good life. But, with that said, surgery is going to cost them in the upwards of an additional $6,000 or more. 

Rocky is a huge part of the family. Anybody that knows Rocky knows he is such a gentle loving dog. He is protective of those he loves. 

I know it is something that happens when you own pets, but how can you make that ultimate decision to put them to rest, not because it is their time, but simply because you don't have the funds to fix them. Again, Rocky Boy has a few good years left in him.
