Chelsie's Fight

Chelsie is 10 months old and fighting for her life. On Saturday, April 16, 2016, she was inpatient at Aspirus Wausau Hospital; being treated for dehydration,  when they discovered what they believed was a bowel obstruction. She was air-lifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield and underwent emergency surgery. The surgery was extensive and found that her small intestine telescoped into her large intestine causing a portion of the small intestine to die.  It was removed and reattached. She then underwent a second surgery to widen the incision to allow better drainage of the fluids that were building up inside of her putting pressure on her organs. CPR was perfomed after surgery and she has been fighting to stay alive ever since. They are also considering starting dialysis due to complications.
