HELP ME MAKE AN ART FILM WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am a filmmaker and artist working with comedy, parody, music videos and subversive activism and I would like to do something that noone has ever done before - put my favourite actor, the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, in a film unlike the usual action movies or comedy blockbusters that we know him from; an art film directed by a woman - myself.
WHAT IS THE PROJECT?
I envision the project as a multi-channel installation drawing inspiration from such works as John Baldessari’s “Singing Sol le Wit”, Julian Rosefeldt’s “Manifesto” or “Blixa Baargeld reads Hornbach” However, instead of flawless performance of Cate Blanchett, I would like to show the most likely very “in your face” and comical persona of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I want to make him emotional, weird and vague but also to explore his natural characteristics in a new way. In this film experiment I would like to attempt the ultimate symbol of masculinity that he is, to reflect on climate change (he’s already on it!), tech-driven reality, posthumanism and… to smash patriarchy (yes!), or at least tease it a little and spread ideas of equality in an experimental way. So that is project number one. But project number two, which is currently becoming very feasible, is a documentary about me trying to convince Mr Schwarzenegger that project number 1 is the proposal he was subconsciously waiting for.
NOW I have the probably once in a lifetime chance to capture the key moments of the documentary. On the 17th of September Arnold Schwarzenegger will talk at an event at Theater am Potsdamerplatz in Berlin. Tickets to that event cost about 100 EUR and for additional price of 500 EUR (well….) it will be possible to meet him in person! I would like to take this rare opportunity to meet the celebrity actor, make contact and pitch my idea to him. Let’s face it - it’s expensive! Especially for an independent artist. I would therefore like to ask you to help me realise this plan. Even small donations count! If you are intrigued by my idea and you are curious where it can go, this is the chance to make it happen. WHY?
Obviously I am a fan of Arnold. But that's not the reason for wanting to do this. I want to film the process of trying to meet him in order to reflect on the celebrity world, certain power structures, masculinity etc. in an entertaining, absurd way. The footage that will be created during that process will be used to create a teaser for the documentary that I will further present to producers in order to get real production support for the project. I have already spoken to several people and platforms who expressed their interest in this and are wanting to see more.
HOW AM I GOING TO FILM THIS:
A person who will document my journey to the event, during the event and the event's aftermath will accompany me with a smartphone camera. However I am also contacting several magazines to assist me with the project, so I might get real support for that shoot.

Below (below the rewards) you can see a sample of my other work (where I become a rapper Lil Witch that transforms existing misogynist songs into new ones with positive meaning. here I remake Drake's and Future's "Plastic Bag" into an anti-plastic pollution anthem instead of a song about strippers collecting money from the floor).
