Mitu (me too) is our 11 year old retriever mix. Not only is she an amazing companion and furbaby, she is an great older sister to our 1.5 yr old daughter. She was suddenly diagnosed with diabetes at an emergency vet visit and has now been suddenly diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes and glaucoma in one. All within 30 days!
The cost of her emergency vet stay, treatment of her diabetes with ketones, surgery to remove her glaucoma eye, and surgery to remove the cataract from her "good" eye are weighing heavily on us. She is still lively and active for her age and we do not think she needs to be put down just because the cost of treating her is high.
I have no idea if this gofundme will work, how many people it will reach, or if we will even get one donation. But for the sake of my pup I figure, there is no loss from trying. My husband and I would greatly appreciate any help any one of you would be willing to give our loving Mitu.
