Mister Magpie was hit by a truck, he needs help!

This is Mister Magpie. He is Rachel and Adam's dog and we love him more than life. He was hit by a truck on Monday, July 22. He went to the hospital for internal bleeding, fractures, and possible damage to his internal organs. He is lucky to be alive but he has a long recovery process ahead. After blood transfusions, xrays, blood work, internal feeding and painkillers and antibiotics, he is finally out of the hospital and living at home. He still needs pills four times a day, as well as assistance walking to go pee. 

While he was in the hospital, Mister accrued devastatingly large medical bills. We would unquestionably go broke to save Mister's life, but it's also going to be a long slow uphill battle to scrape our way out of this debt. The total for Mister's bills while he was in the hospital (not counting the costs of future checkups and medication) is $15,032.91. The person who hit Mister with his truck was not insured, nor have we been able to communicate with him after the accident. We have taken out low interest loans to temporarily pay for Mister Magpie's medical care. Mister is still with us, thank goodness. Now it's time to start working to pay off this debt.
