Brendan & Missy Abbott

One night about 3 weeks ago, my son-in-law Brendan Abbott had a massive heart attack and had a life-saving triple bypass heart surgery.  He was also in extreme ketoacidosis - and for anyone familiar with diabetes, you know how close to death Brendan was.  He is now on the long road to recovery,  but also has to endure kidney dialysis 3 days a week because of the extremely low kidney function he now has.  As he recovers from his present situation, he will be put on a waiting list for a donor kidney - but we'll just talk about the right now.

Brendan and my step-daughter Missy are hard-working people reluctant to ask for help, so that is where I come in.  Missy has missed a lot of work to be by Brendan's side, as well as taking care of the home, the dogs , and making sure their daughter, Skylar gets to school and band practice.   Both Missy and Brendan are out of any personal time they accumulated at work, and their savings are used up for all the things that go along with taking care of life and the unexpected devastating expenses of a catastrophic event such as this.

The need for funds is immediate.  Brendan is going to need a lot of treatment in the weeks and months ahead, and there are still bills to pay.  There is the mortgage and all associated home related expenses.  Medical bills, copays, and deductibles.  Car expenses, food - everything.
