Medical Mission Trip to Senegal

The Senegal Health Project is an organization set up to not only share the blessings of God with those within Senegal but to meet the everyday needs of the people in this region. Senegal is a country situated in the west coast of Africa with French as its official language.

The programme aims to continue to help with some of the stresses the people may face through; offering medical assistance, support to revamp buildings, health talks, basic academic training such as learning to read and to write and Bible studies.
The project is in need of volunteers especially from medical backgrounds as many people are in need of medical attention. As stated above, the official language is French and so volunteers who are French speakers are also welcome.
The following are also needed in donations: health supplies - bandaids, gauze pads, thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, cotton balls as well as first aid supplies.
The programme will be held in three different cities, Dakar which is the capital city of Senegal, Mbirdiam and Thies. These cities are far apart, Dakar is 31 miles from Mbirdiam, Thies is 12 miles from Mbirdiam and therefore part of the funds will be used for transport and tolls.
Having considered the above, the costs for this programme will be £2500 with a great amount of it going to buy medical supplies and food. We hope and pray that you can assist us in making this mission a success.
