Volunteer / Missionary year in Orlando, Fl
My Story:
Hello my name is Johannes and I am 25y. old.
Almost five years ago, after I had successfully completed my traineeship within the hotel business, I went on a Work & Travel trip to Australia in order to enhance my skills and experience within the Hotel Industry.
One day, out of nowhere, I had a radical encounter with Jesus in my living room at the time which set me free from a self-absorbed lifestyle, seeking my own interests and desires.
That day I re-dedicated my life to the Lord and decided to follow Him and his plans for my life wholeheartedly.
I started going to church however it didn’t satisfy me. I knew there was more to this Christian life than simply going to church on a Sunday.
So I started following God’s lead throughout my travels in Australia and New Zealand and was able to share the Good News with many people from all over the world along the way.
In 2016, I felt the Lord say "Are you all in? Come and study my word!" on which I decided to attend a bible college in California, USA.
During first year, I learnt more about God and his heart, my identity in Christ and how I can use the talents He has given me.
During the holiday break of first and second year I went back home to Germany to work and raise the required funds for year leading on.
In second year the Lord gave me some insight into His vision for my life and my calling to teach and equip others for their wholehearted pursuit of and life for Jesus.
As the second year came to an end, I took some time in order to find out what was to follow after these two years at bible college.
Leading on from that I applied and got accepted for a Volunteer position at Michael Koulianos ministry in Orlando called "Jesus Image".
I had the honor of serving Michael & Jessica Koulianos at their newly opened bible school called “Jesus School” as well as within various ministry events and travels.
I also had the privilege to mentor students, lead various groups, teach them theoretically as well as practical application of it all in their love for Jesus and the consequential lifestyle.
Since I have finished this volunteer year in May, I have been working in my hometown again to save the money earned in order to go back to “Jesus School” end of August to continue lead students at the school and to serve Michael and the rest of his ministry team.
Due to visa requirements I am still not allowed to get a salary from the Ministry for the position I hold, which means that I have to fully fund myself.
God has been so faithful in providing for me in incredible ways throughout my journey with Him and I believe that He will stay faithful as God’s will is God’s bill.
I’m deeply grateful for all those that has been supporting me financially and through prayer on my journey of serving the Lord, and building His people and kingdom up to now.
If you are willing to join in supporting me practically and with prayer in my role to teach, train and equip students attending “Jesus School”
as well as supporting the Jesus Image team at ministry events,
and so also being part of sowing into God’s kingdom and what He’s doing, fill out a donation form.
