Friends and family meet Miranda Fe a happy baby with a beautiful smile, she loves to scream and wants moms attention always, loves her dads beard and absolutely loves her big sister Ariel and she also can't be without her elephant pacifier...
But this beautiful little gem has a very rare disease called I-cell disease (mucolipidosis II) is a rare inherited metabolic disorder, research is limited and in most cases terminal. Awareness is key but unfortunately not enough is being done.
Which leads me to creating a special page for a very speacial family who so desperately needs us right now. Miranda has been in the hospital for a little over two weeks she came in for a cough and a slight fever which has severe complications for a baby with I-Cell.
Since then she has been intubated, has received a blood transfusion and is on an assortment of drugs fighting bacterial infections one after another.
Her oxygen levels have not been stable and continues to show very little progression. She is in the fight of her life and though it may seem bleak she's still holding on and the doctors still believe there's hope and are trying everything possible within their power.
So I'm calling all prayer warriors to call upon his mighty name and ask our Heavenly Father to lend his ear and hear our prayers and heal our baby Miranda Fe.
I'm also asking for donations in any amount big or small to help this beautiful family, Rafael is the sole provider and recently has encountered shortage of hours at his work, he has exhausted all his PTO and sick time. He has not been at work as he is needed to be by Esmeralda's side along with baby Miranda.
Costly medical expenses and bills don't stop they keep coming. Anything to help ease the burden would greatly be appreciated..
