Miracle for Mikey Man

Donation protected
It was just another day…until it wasn’t.  On the fourth of July 17 year old Mikey Garcia, my funny, sweet, crazy, adventurous great nephew went out for a skateboard ride like he’s done a million times before.  Only this time he decided not to wear his helmet.  While headed down a hill the skateboard got away from him and he took a fall hitting the back of his head.  He went into a seizure, was unconscious and taken to Harborview where it was determined he has a skull fracture, concussion and 2 brain bleeds.  Miraculously he came home a few days ago pretty bruised up and soar, but grateful to be in his own home.  Mikey is going to need speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and cognitive therapy.  He has one eye that roams a bit while trying to track. His Mom, Laurie, will have to take time off her job to take care of him and take him to all of these appointments.  While they have insurance to help with the medical (sadly we know it won’t cover it all) there is no insurance to replace the salary that Laurie will lose while caring for him.  Thus the reason for this Go Fund Me request.

Every little bit raised will help ease the stress and financial burden on this beautiful family. I would sincerely appreciate your support and your prayers that Mikey makes a full recovery.

God Bless!
