Robert William Miot, known as TiBob to friends and family, beloved son of Robert Richard Miot and Janice Carole Pike Westberg, and step son of Donald Westberg and Priscilla Miot passed away on June 16, 2018 unexpectedly.
Robert is survived by his two children Owen Alexander Miot and Grace Jacquelyn Miot, his siblings and their spouses: Cherie Miot Abbanat and Brian Abbanat; Carolee Janine Miot McIntosh and Michael McIntosh; Daniel Richard Miot and Kimberly Anne Miot, Jonathan Kenneth Miot and Angie Marie Adkin; best friend Michael Francis Gay; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a graduate of Hanover High School and Emerson College, winning awards for his video craftsmanship, including the National HomeTown Media award for his documentary on the World Wiffle Ball tournament. Always the entrepreneur, and even as a child, he sold vegetables from his garden in the neighborhood, alongside delivering papers, saving every cent earned. More recently, Robert received many awards for his salesmanship at Stemscope.
Robert was known for his love of art and antiques, and could be found wandering around museums in Cambridge, Boston and Worcester. He was an avid reader, diving into history and culture. He made friends wherever he went, loved his work, adored his children (and Lowell the family cat), and enjoyed games and jokes with his nieces and nephews. He was fond of making light of whatever was presented, and was quick to make fun of himself.
A celebration of TiBob’s life and accomplishments will be held at the Miot family home at 6 Eldred Circle, Falmouth, MA 02540 on August 26, 2018 at 2pm.
The parents of Robert, grandparents of Owen and Grace, have set up this college fund account for the children. Please consider a donation for the children and their future.
