Mimi’s Fight with Rare Bile Duct Cancer!

Donation protected
A few short months ago my mother was diagnosed with bile duct cancer which is a rare form of liver cancer. When the diagnosis was made, we were all very shocked as she was young and healthy. She has undergone numerous treatments over the past 6 months including a surgical procedure removing 1/3 of her liver and also oral chemotherapy. Last week, we found out that the treatment has not been successful as 2 new cancerous lesions have emerged on her scans. Next week, she will be starting immunotherapy, which is a different type of treatment, via a research study in Boston at the Dana Farber Clinic. We are very hopeful for her and that this will be the answer into pushing her into remission from this devastating disease. As you might guess, this has been devastating for her and the family. She is no longer able to work at her job as an oncology RN which she loves, and we are raising funds for travel expenses. She will need to travel to Boston every 2 weeks for up to the next 1 year in order to be enrolled in the study and get the treatment she needs. If you can help by contributing for her travel expenses, including airfare, train rides and hotel stays, her and the family would be very grateful.
You are a fighter Jodi and we love you!
