The horse world has lost a prominent, much loved legend in & out of the arena, Mike Rowe, the man with a heart of gold.
Mike Rowe was born February 22nd, 1946 in Redruth, England. From the very beginning of Mike's life, his love and passion for horses & hounds began. As a young man he was an avid equestrian and foxhunter along side his father, with a very special affinity for the Jumpers.
In his later show days, he fell in love with Hunter Breeding. Becoming one of the nations' Top Handlers, He was awarded USEF handler of the year. Throughout his life he had an eye for exceptional horse's, as well as "diamond's in the rough". It did not matter who you were, Mike was always there to give his advice and a helping hand. When it came to producing & breeding top hunter's & jumpers, he was the one to call. Whether horse's or ponies he knew it all. For many years he maintained a fabulous group of stallions and broodmares, that will keep his breeding legacy alive for many generations to come.
The most important thing in Mike's life were his amazing children Dolly, Sammy & Piper. He was so very proud of his girls. Mike had a beautiful singing voice. He spent most mornings singing to Sammy and Piper. They just loved that. So, It made him very proud that his singing ability passed on to all of his beautiful daughters.
With the unexpected passing of our beloved friend & father, he was not able to have a plan in place to provide support for his children's future education. His laugh was contagious, his funny jokes unforgettable and his horsemanship immeasurable. So let us join together and celebrate this magnificent man in a way he would approve. Lets Eat Drink Sing and Be Merry!!
