Mike Simon's Family Fundraiser

Lincoln “Mike” Simon, Sr., 63, of White Mountain, Alaska unexpectedly passed away on November 4, 2018 after falling through thin ice with his four-wheeler while out tomcod fishing. As of November 12, searchers and divers are still trying to recover Mike’s earthly body.

Mike was a very loving family man. He and Linda, his companion of 39 years, raised six children and have eight grandchildren. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed frequently bringing his family boating, fishing, hunting, berry picking, and camping along the Fish River.

Mike was the Simon family’s primary provider. He worked as an airline agent for 36 years. He also selflessly served on various local and regional boards to bring positive change to his community and the Bering Strait Region.

Mike’s family, large extended family, and many friends throughout the Bering Strait Region will remember Mike by his calm, caring, and respectful demeanor. He had a great sense of humor and was an excellent storyteller. Mike was also a self-taught guitar player and would often play at memorial services to honor those who had passed and help comfort those who were grieving.

This is the second recent tragedy the Simon family has endured. In August 2018, they unexpectedly lost their son/brother Nate. Let’s join together and lift up the Simon family during this difficult time. Please keep the Simon family in your prayers.
