This is my father, Mike (Mo). His friends and family know him as a generous man who takes care of others while expecting nothing in return. In December 2016 Mike contracted an infection that resulted in kidney failure. For the past two years he has spent three nights a week on dialysis, continuing to work full time during the day while enduring the side effects of treatment as our family prayed for the gift of a kidney donation.
Our prayers have been answered! Kari, a dear friend of my parents, has offered to donate! However, Mike’s 20% copay is approximately $80,000. There is also the loss of income during recovery. Kari will also incur substantial expenses including the loss of up to three months of income.
We are nearing the end of our nightmare. Please help our family to overcome this final obstacle. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
