Mike Dees Memorial & Funeral Fund

October 3, 1970 - June 3, 2019

Mike Dees was a fixture of the Northwest punk scene since co-founding the Olympia, Washington band Fitz of Depression in 1988 and continued to play until the day he passed. 

His lyrics, voice, and music will continue to influence many.  He was a friend, a proud father, a lovable weirdo and a kind soul. He'd lend you his ear, put a smile on your face, and fill your mind with music all at once.   It will be noticed that he is no longer in the clubs, walking the streets of Olympia, or ripping it up on stage.   His cultural influence will live on through his music and our memories. 

We're asking for your help to raise funds that will take care of Mike's afterlife expenses, personal bills, and create a memorial savings fund for his son Mike II, and daughter Veronica.  We won't know the final goal just yet but we will post updates here. 

Please join us in celebrating the life of Michael James Dees.

We ask that you bring quality copies of your photos to share and to stay around for live music after the formal memorial has concluded. More details to come.
