Mike and Audrey Doyle and Family

Audrey, Mike and their 2 young boys were eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby.  Audrey’s ultrasound at 21 weeks led to a series of appointments at BC Women’s Hospital and a diagnosis  of Trisomy 18 for their unborn child.   

Outcomes for babies with this chromosomal disorder are not promising and Mike and Audrey began a journey that has been both joyous and devastating.

Rosalind Leslie Ruth was born October 27, 2018 weighing 4lb 13 oz. and  is welcomed into her large extended family with much joy and thanksgiving.

Mike, Audrey and Rosalind moved from BC Women’s Hospital to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice October 29th where they have received amazing care and support and where, together with sons, Seth and Chase they are able  to spend precious time with their sweet Roz.

We do not know how many hours, days or weeks Rosalind will be with us and her parents are spending every possible moment with her.

Unfortunately, when lives are put on hold, financial obligations continue. Audrey is receiving maternity leave benefits at  55% of her income and Mike is currently on unpaid leave. 

They would appreciate any donation you can give to help them cover the day to day costs of living as well as for anticipated end of life costs for their precious daughter.
