Midwifery in Lusaka
Donation protected
Myself and two other midwifery students will be travelling to Lusaka in Africa for a midwifery placement. This trip will be a life changing experience for us all. We will enhance our midwifery practice skills and knowledge, and more importantly give hope and support to these disadvantaged women, aiming to make a positive impact in the care we provide.
Whilst we are there, we have the opportunity to make a difference and supply the hospital with essential medical supplies. Women and newborns in this country are at higher risk of mortality and morbidity. With your donation, it allows us to buy sterile gloves to prevent the spread of infection, sterile equipment, as well as the necessary drugs to prevent medical emergencies such as post-partum haemorrhage.
All funds raised will go directly to supporting these women and their babies by providing essential supplies. We would greatly appreciate any donation, even a small donation can make a huge difference.
