Michigan State Spartan Battalion Annual Fundraiser
Donation protected
We at Michigan State University (MSU) Spartan Battalion are conducting our 2019 annual fundraiser to help generate financial support for our program. As Cadets, we spend many hours each week preparing to become officers while attending classes at MSU.
We currently have 195 Cadets enrolled in the program.
Of those:
- 31 graduated Advanced Camp this past summer (65% achieving an “Excellent” rating or higher)
- 46 have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher; 67 cadets with 3.3 or higher
- 5 cadets completed Air Assault School, 2 cadets completed Airborne School, and 15 cadets participated in Cadet Troop Leadership Training (CTLT) with units across the country.
- This year, 31 Cadets are prepared to commission in May. Of those, 21 were selected for Active Duty. Three ranked in the Top 10% nationwide and 9 are Distinguished Military Graduates.
In past years, your donations have largely contribute to our annual Military Ball, battalion social events, and extra-curricular trainings such as registration for marathons and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) competition
We are always seeking to improve our program. This year we are focusing on:
(1) a future staff ride experience for MS II's to build cohesiveness in the battalion
(2) continued funding for experiences at the Demmer Center
(3) virtual reality software for marksmanship training.
We appreciate any amount you can give and thank you in advance for your generosity. 100% of the donations recieved will go directly towards the Spartan Battalion and our Cadet Fund.
