Michelle's Medical Expenses

I don't know how to start this off so that's why this sentence is here. Back in April I visited my doctor for my annual Pap Smear. After every pap visit the doc advises me that the results should be in 7-10 business days. If I dont hear from them then that means everything came out clear. If they call that means something is wrong. I started getting Pap Smears done since I was 18 and done them annually ever since. During all those years I never recieved a phone call, until the April results came in. "Michelle, can you come in for an appointment tomorrow? The doctor needs to speak to you about your results." All I was told is that the labs came back abnormal. Went in the following day a nervouswreck, Robert went with me, and the doc explain that the labs showed that cancer cells were present in my cervix. Of course out of reaction and shock I started to cry. Doc explained that he would like to perform a LEEP surgery and hopefully that eliminates them, and hopefully they didn't spread further than that area. Surgery happened April 20, and everything went well. Went in for another Pap Smear about 2 weeks ago. Standard procedure just to confirm that there aren't anymore cancer cells present. Sure enough I get another phone call. Doc needs to speak to me about the results. At the appt, Doc explained to us that the cancer cells are still present therefore it spread. It is now Stage 1 Cervial Cancer. The good thing, I guess, is that prior to meeting with him, Robert and I googled like crazy what my options could be. After extensive research and conversations, Robert and I agreed that a Hysterectomy would be the best way to get rid of this cancer. Sooooo, when the doc mentioned it to us that a Hysterectomy is the best option, Robert and I were already prepared with our decision and told the doc that we are on board. It's still a little surreal. I'm an emotional rollercoaster right now. One minute I have a positive attitude about it, and the next I'm crying my eyes out. Surgery is scheduled for Friday, July 20, 2018. Since this medical procedure is expensive together with future doc visits and meds, we decided to open this GoFundMe page to help with the Hysterectomy surgery coming up next week and upcoming medical expenses. Any little bit helps! Thank you all so much! #CancerSucks
