Michelle Will Dance Again

My 18-year-old cousin Michelle, a recent high school graduate, was excited to head off to college this fall. Unfortunately, life threw her a curveball. On July 1st, Michelle awoke with no sensation below her neck. Unable to move on her own, she managed to get her brother's attention and was immediately admitted to the emergency room.

Doctors are unsure about what may have caused this sudden paralysis on an otherwise healthy teenager. Michelle is currently in rehab and showing fractional improvement, but will still require ongoing support as she continues to heal. Our family's fundraising goal is the estimated cost of present and future rehab services and the reconstruction of Michelle's home to accommodate her current physical condition.

Michelle is a talented singer and artist and hopes to become a nurse one day. Her spirit and faith are steadfast despite her circumstances and she often references her favorite verse:

Proverbs 31:25 — Strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come. 

Lastly, why "Michelle Will Dance Again?" Michelle had a dream where she was doing just that and we want nothing more than to help her make this dream come true. ♥
