Love, Faith, & Support for Michael!

First, thank you for caring about Michael and all your support and prayers for him.  We are true believers of the power of prayer and need your continued prayers for Michael, his wife Angela, his daughter Brooklyn and his team of doctors to see him through the toughest days/weeks/months of his life! I set up this page to ask for your prayers (#1), support in any amount of donation to help his medical care, and for you to share this post with as many people as you know!! The more prayer chains, the better!

What happened?
On Monday, May 14th, Michael went into cardiac arrest which left his brain without oxygen for a few minutes and was also having seizures. He was rushed to the emergency room and admitted to the ICU.  In order to get the seizures under control, he was put into a medically induced coma.  Since the seizures have complicated his recovery due to the sedation needed, he is still in a coma. At this time, the seizures are under control with medication and Michael is fully off sedation. However, he has “mild” brain damage from the loss of oxygen. The doctors say it is an “Anoxic brain injury” however they are hopeful that Michael will wake up since he is young and all his organs (including his heart) are working at normal levels. Due to the uncertainty and severity of his injury, he currently and will need a lot of medical support, even after he wakes up.

I will personally keep this post updated with recent news and progress! I only ask you respect his family’s space right now as Angela, his brothers, and his mom, as well as many others are giving it our all to stay strong and keep pushing forward.

Michael would want you all to know that he is a fighter, that same tough kid you know, and he needs you to fight for him too with your positive thoughts and love for him and his family.

For those who don’t know me, I am Angela’s sister and Mike is with no question more than just a brother in law to me. All of us see the posts that Mike writes that are heartfelt and genuine.
