Michael's Kidney Transplant

Mike is in need of a kidney transplant. He has been on the transplant list for 7 years and is still waiting. If not for this MAJOR problem, Mike would be a healthly, fit guy! He's never smoked, he's not a big drinker and he eats healthy.
Mike and I have been together since I was 16 and he was 21. We've been married for 34+ years. We have 3 children and 5 grand children. We are a very close family. I found out I am a match and could donate a kidney to Mike, however, we can't financially afford for me to be the donor. I am a nurse, but due to my position, I do not get ANY paid time off. No sick leave, no short term disability, etc. I would have to be off until fully recovered due to my work, I could not return until I had no limitations. Mike still works full time. He gets short term disability, but only 60% of his income. So, in order for me to be his donor, we would literally lose nearly 75% of our income for a minimum 2 months, possibly longer. Add all of the medical expenses, medication expense and travel expenses for multiple trips to the transplant center and we are stuck, we can't schedule the surgery. I can not imagine life without this man. He is such a giving, and loving husband, father and grandfather! He's my best friend and I am asking for help. He refuses to schedule the surgery if it means we will fall behind financially, or go bankrupt. If we can get the funds togehter, we can get the transplant scheduled! What a miracle that I am a match!! I trust God will provide the funds to allow us to go forward with the transplant. Thank you for your prayers and any help you can give.
