Michael Parsons Endowed Scholarship

Donation protected
My son died August 6th 2016, and I am raising money to start an endowed vocational scholarship in my son's memory. The money will be used for a scholarship in Michael's name to help students pay for vocational training at out local community college, Cleveland Community College. Micheal was planning to become a welder, and was very excited about completing his welding certification. Micheal had dyslexia and ADD. Academics were very difficult for him, but he always worked hard in school, and managed to pass his classes with Cs. When he started in his first welding class something clicked, and he found a subject that he excelled at.

After his death many of Michael's classmates shared stories with us about Michael helping others students. He arrived at school early to help wheelchair students get to class, he defended autistic students from bullies, and he assisted his other classmates to understand class lessons. Micheal was an honest, loyal, determined and brave young man. He is loved and missed by his family and friends.
I believe that Micheal would love a scholarship in his name to help students achieve his dream and become a professional welder. The scholarship will be awarded on financial need basis. After the scholarship has been established it will administered by the Cleveland Community College Foundation.
