I am starting this go fund me for my father Mike Mulcahy. He is currently living in Alaska for work. Saturday, April 15th, my father suffered a massive stroke. He is now in Anchorage, Alaska at the Providence Medical Center where he is currently in the ICU. My father is a family first, very loving, and down to earth guy. My dad is the most kind hearted and caring person i've ever known and will ever know. He always makes sure his family and friends are taken care of, so this is our turn to take care of him. The stroke has taken away his ability to walk or talk. He knows who we are and communicates as best as he can through his facial expressions and hand gestures. He will need extensive rehab and medical attention. We would like to get him back to NY so he can be with his family. My dad is alone in Alaska during the worst time of his life. My siblings and I are all in N.Y. state. His doctors have informed us that he is unable to take a commerical flight back home due to the current state of health he is in, therefore he will need to be medically transported back home. This could cost up to $100,000 so we need as much help as we can. His insurance won't cover any of the flight home. I know my dad wants to be in N.Y so that his children and family can assist him with overcoming the many obstacles that he is going to endure.
