Michael Castillo's Funeral Expenses
It is with a heavy heart that we must share the very sad news of the sudden passing of Michael Castillo, a very Good Man, Son, Brother, Uncle, Father, and Friend.
Most of us regarded Michael (or "BIG MIKE," as we've lovingly called him) as an easy going, philosophical, gentle giant, with a heart too large for even his 6' 3" 250 + lbs. stature.
Michael had been quietly battling severe, ongoing depression in the past few years, that left him homeless, desolate, and literally broken hearted, in the last few months of his life. Three days prior to Christmas day, on 12/22/2016 at 12:02 PM, his beautiful heart suffered a massive fatal attack at St. Mary's Medical Center Emergency department in San Francisco. He was only 46 years young.
Michael leaves behind his newfound love and partner, Jessica, who brought into the world their 3 year old daughter, the love of his life, Paige; and his elderly mother, Zenaida.
We are pleading to everyong we know for anything they can donate to help cover the high cost of funeral services and miscellaneous coroner's fees.
We apologize in advance to everyone for bringing up such a sad topic during the most joyous of all Holiday seasons. Our sincerest hope is that the Spirit of Christmas will help us and his family in the aforementioned endeavor.
Sincerely and Gratefully Yours,
Tommy & Ivonne Le
-- Rest in Peace; we will Forever Miss You, BIG MIKE!
Michael's family has ultimately opted for cremation; the exact date of service is yet to be determined. The family also plan on having a small, intimate ceremony for Michael on a later date. However, due to financial constraints and other factors, only family members and a select few of Michael's closest friends will be invited.
It has been agreed upon that all additional proceeds from Michael's Go Fund Me campaign will be kept in a trust fund for Paige's future. We can't bring back the father, son, brother, Uncle, and best friend, but we can certainly try to provide his daughter Paige with the monetary support her father would have certainly provided her. To help with this endeavor, we have raised Michael's Go Fund Me campaign goal and ask everyone to please continue passing Michael's Go Fund Me link to everyone you know.
We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and ongoing support.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank all those who have made their donations outside of the go fund me link via cash and personal checks.
May God bless each and every one of you with much content and prosperity in 2017. Happy New Year!
