We started out in 1978 as a group of DJs trying to make a difference in the world of entertainment while at the same time helping each other get better at our craft.
Networking our gig booking process allowed us to always have extra work (double and triple bookings) that we shared amongst the member DJs.
Along the way we discovered other types of entertainers, that often became part of our sessions, which helped us present unique shows, while giving us an adventurous edge and a desirable alternative to standard DJ products and services.
At the same time we always found ways to provide charity gigs, new artist discovery and promotional events that allowed our DJs to personify coummunity awareness and localism.
The constant exposure to new material from up and coming artists, many unknown and/or unheard, led to the creation of B-Side Gourmet (mix tapes for lounges, restaurtants, hotels, catering halls, etc.) and the eventual creation of B-Side Gourmet Radio ("the other music") in order to give said new artists a platform to be seen and heard as opposed to being rejected by the entertainment industry of the day.
Thanks to technology and the internet, B-Side Gourmet Radio spin-off stations (see mgzcom.net) have continued to give the struggling and promotion-needy artists a platform to have their art heard and/or seen.
Alas, we've reached the point where we need to take the process to the next level. With a lot of out-of-pocket expenses and limited resources, we now look to you to help us continue the journey of providing the most innovative environment to get new artists with little or no resources the chance to get exposure in the world-wide platforms of Internet Radio and Video.
