Dozers surgery fund

My best friend Olivia’s 17 week old black lab puppy, Dozer has been diagnosed with bilateral ectopic ureters. When the puppy first came home he seemed like a normal healthy puppy. At 12 weeks he started having incontinence issues which was first diagnosed as a bladder infection. After the bladder infection resolved his bladder incontinence continued and after blood test, several urine tests, 2 rounds of antibiotics, x-rays, and finally a CT scan a diagnoses was finally made. The CT scan revealed bilateral ectopic ureters, swelling of his ureters, and distention of the renal pelves. He has been referred to a Veterinary Hospital in Quebec for surgery to remove the ureters from where they are now and reattach them in the proper anatomical position. Without the surgery he will suffer permanent damage to his kidneys. Dozer is scheduled to go to St-Hyacinthe Quebec for further tests on April 5th with surgery to follow the next day and a stay in Quebec for a couple nights for Olivia and her Mom. The quote for surgery is around $5000 but depending on his test results it could be upwards of $7000. Dozer does have pet insurance but has used most of it with veterinary care to this point. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will help Dozer live a long and happy life.
