Hello,
My name is Fawn Love Crosby. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 12 years ago. When I was diagnosed I was a very healthy trainer & Riding Instructor and had my own horse Farm. I also worked at a local stable caring for show horses, and was a nanny for a family of 6 kids. I was a VERY busy lady! In 2009 I married my amazing husband, Brendan J.Crosby Jr. and at that point in my life I remained basically unscathed from this disease . If we had only known MS was about to disable me and take away my ability to walk, ride horses, work, or even climb stairs. It has taken every bit of normalcy from my life and left me struggling with every single thing I do in the course of a day.
I SOMEHOW manage to still care for the 3 horses I love ...and also remain leader of my 4H Pony Palooza Club. I love being with the children and horses.....its what keeps me going!
Brendan and I have researched and found a VERY PROMISSING THERAPY that could restore my quality of life and allow me to once again WALK!!! At this point I have tried every drug available to slow the progression of this disease, and with each attempt a failure. I was even placed on chemotherapy only to only lose all my hair and eyelashes and still fall apart neurologically. But now I have NEW HOPE!!! There is a procedure called Stem Cell Therapy. A company called Stemgenex in Ca. offers it. They use your own purified stem cells and have had GREAT SUCCESS with MS patients!!! The dilemma is that this procedure costs $15,000.oo and we just dont have that kind of money. PLEASE HELP ME in my quest to attain this goal of fifteen thousand dollars.... so I can WALK, RIDE & enjoy just being able to function again.
