MEXICO EARTHQUAKES IRISH DONATIONS

Donation protected
Mexico has been hit by two strong earthquakes in less than a month. The first one of a magnitude 8.4 originated in the pacific Coast of Chiapas and just days after a second earthquake of a magnitude 7.1 originated in the south of Mexico City.

Both earthquakes have caused hundreds of deaths, including children and buildings, houses and schools collapsed leaving many  homeless or injured. Small towns in the surroundings of Mexico City, Puebla, Morelos and Chiapas were devastated and access to provide help remains limited.

Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, but the task will soon shift to providing relief to survivors and those left homeless, as well as to rebuild the damage.

The US Geological Survey has estimated that the scale of the damages may be up to $10 billion US dollars (£7.3 billion pounds).

Who are we helping?
Donations will go to  support local organizations and initiatives that will help with reconstruction efforts and medical help in the most affected and vulnerable communities.

Donors can if they desire receive updates about how their donations are being used with documented evidence, photos and videos.
