Mexico needs your help!!
The country has just experienced two devastating earthquakes just 12 days apart. The first struck September 7th in Chiapas with a magnitude of 8.1 causing terrible destruction across many states. On September 19th exactly 32 years after an earthquake of 8.0 which killed thousands, the next one struck the state of Puebla with a magnitude of 7.0 causing widespread devastation again across many states and rural areas.
Hundreds of people are dead and missing, many are left without homes or any of their belongings after apartments, schools, stores and buildings collapsed.
The amazing people of Mexico immediately came together and worked non-stop through the rain and darkness, rescuing people, animals, setting up areas of refuge, collecting and sorting supplies and donations. We are trying to raise funds to go toward people who are in dire need and have been affected greatly by this terrible disaster.
To be a little more specific, the funds will be used to pay for medicine, tents, reconstruction projects, even items as simple as baby food that people cannot afford.
Basically, help and requirements and the areas of which they are needed are changing every day here in Mexico. My friends and I have been out on the streets of Mexico City, going to the Centros de Acopio, helping moving supplies, finding people homes etc. It is so chaotic and there is much to be done but once we reach our goal we will re-assess what the best way is to use these funds, to relieve the people suffering here in Mexico. I will keep updating our progress and any other useful information
