Help Open A Respected Birth Center

My name is Sara Marie Forrest Jaimes. I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife. I live in a large city with my 5 kids and husband. I also have a growing home-birth practice, together with Charity Peraza, a midwife from Florida. In our city, there are c-section rates up to 95% in some hospitals. We are battling a high mortality rate and many unbased fears. In order to better assist mothers and their families, we have decided to open a new birth center. 

We are asking for donations for two reasons:

1) We have joined with other natural birth advocates in our area are planning on holding a large conference/expo called "Respected Maternity" where we will have expert speakers, services, and natural birth products available. We are using the proceeds of this conference to help with the start-up costs of our birth center. The conference is being planned for October.

2) We will use any excess funds to create our Birth Center Fund, which will be the combined with our personal contributions to the project. 

We have a lot of community support with this project and hope that as a team, we can work together and create a healthy, safe, and comfortable birthing space for the families we serve!
