Meredith's Greek Dog Rescue

On my recent trip to Greece I was moved and saddened by the countless dogs and cats abandoned on the streets. I met and talked to many of them. One dog in particular I can not forget. She has a broken leg, starving and depressed. I'd be depressed too about my situation if I was in her shoes! She is barely one year old and if left in that condition she would certainly die. Just a matter of time. I have located a rescue that has taken her off the streets for me. They are attending to her immediate needs by feeding her. She will be getting medical attention on Monday. She would not likely be adopted in Greece as many people are in dire need themselves. That is why so many people are forced to abandon their pets. If she passes her blood tests I will be able to transport her to the United States to live with me and her new sister Flower and have the chance of living a great life. The money raised will go to her medical bill and transportation fees from Greece to Phoenix. The rescue is run by volunteers. Any extra money raised will be donated back to help rescue other dogs in need.
