The Mental Health Pledge is a public commitment to families who cannot afford mental health care. Your financial support will go towards providing free professional counseling, educational empowerment, and advocacy.
The goal of this pledge is to build an alliance of donors for the well being of disadvantaged families and at-risk children in Florida through:
* Trauma- Informed Counseling & Life coaching
* Career Counseling
* Holistic Art Therapy classes
* Play Therapy
* Maternal Counseling & Postpartum Depression support
Mental Health is a global public health concern. 1 in 5 people struggle with a mental health concern. 350 million people worldwide suffer from depression and it has become the leading cause of disability.
800,000 people die from suicide globally each year- that's one death every 40 seconds. In America, over 40 million people are dealing with a mental health concern- more than the populations of New York and Florida combined. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. Each year, over 42,000 Americans die by suicide.
Together we will start in Florida and continue to grow across America to help find answers, share quality care, and provide resources that people need to socially and emotionally thrive. With your support, I pledge my time.
I advocate for Mental Health Awareness in diverse communities and I pledge my service as a Marriage & Family Therapist to at-risk and disadvantaged communities across Florida.
My goal with this campaign is to reach more families who are hurting in silence. Their lives and voices matter.
