Afi Jeanette Obidun ATEKOU needs no introduction to our Togolese community in Chicago; she is the beloved wife of our leader, activist, lawyer and friend, Foli Allin. Jeanette passed to glory after a bout with cancer on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 in Chicago. She left behind three beautiful but devastated children and a loving husband. “There is nothing that can ever explain the loss of my wife,” Foli would say.
On behalf of the family, in this most devastating and humbling circumstance, we have set up this campaign to ask for your prayers, donations, and support to help ensure the family is able to “celebrate the life” of this beautiful woman of faith, devoted mother and wife, with a memorial and funeral.
