MEMORIAL FUND FOR MARIAMA SILLAH

Mariama was a sweet and smart beautiful young lady who was always smiling. Her future was bright and filled with promises as she attended grade 9 at Victoria School of Performing Arts. She loves to dance and read books.

Unfortunately her life was cut short late Saturday November 26th evening when an Edmonton City bus ran her over and took her precious life away from us, one month before her 14th birthday. The whole Edmonton community is saddened at this incident as it was made public on news media.

Mariama was our little sister, cousin,neice, Daughter, granddaughter, and most of all a friend. She respected her elders and always refered to her elders as Aunty or uncle. She was loved dearly by everyone. And will be missed. She was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa and came to Canada in the year 2004 then later moved here in Edmonton shortly after with her Family. Her hobbies were reading and dancing.

The Sierra Leone Community is setting up this fund to help the grieving parents and families back home in Sierra Leone and in the Sierra Leone Edmonton Alberta community to help with funeral expenses. Any amount helps, and if you are unable to donate please share and spread the word. May your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace sweet Mariama.

My name is Zanaib Kamara and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. On behalf of the Sierra Leone Edmonton Alberta Community. We Started this Campaign to help my Aunt, Kadi Sillah and Uncle, Sheku Sillah who lost their daughter, Mariama with funeral expenses back home and here in canada. As you already know Mariama was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa. They also received the shocking news and arrangements have been  made for them to do a traditional burial as we do in our culture back home in Sierrands Leone. These funds will be withdrawn and the money will be given to the parents directly.  We thank everyone who has remembered Mariama by helping in donating one way or another. We are thankful and grateful for your help during this hard time.
