Memorial fund for JR Helms

We as a family are already struggling financially due to loss of a loved one. Most of you that know us have been following our heartbreaking struggle for 2 years. My husband finally lost his courageous battle with cancer July 15th 2018. As difficult as this time is for me and my family today something happened to me that is unforgivable by Lancaster Funeral Home. After being at the hospital for 3 weeks and a hospice house for 12 days I made a phone call to the funeral home about my husband's Arrangements. They quoted me a price and was supposed to work with me as far as payments. After arriving to the funeral home this morning with my parents to make Juniors final Arrangements they  proceeded to inform us that the entire amount had to be paid up front by Wednesday. I let him know right away that I had many people to call because I wasn't sure if I could come up with that amount in three days. My father made a few phone calls and discovered that Burgess funeral home will work with me as far as being able to make a down payment and work with me on the rest. They called Lancaster funeral home to have my husband's body moved to Burgess Funeral Home. Upon them doing so we discovered that Lancaster Funeral Home had already started the embalming process. They informed Burgess funeral home that I owe them $1, 190 before they would let them move my precious husband's remains. To make a difficult situation even worse I was done horribly wrong by Lancaster Funeral Home. I paid them every dollar that I had saved torward a down payment for his funeral. So I'm now seeking financial help to assist with my husband's funeral because now I have to come up with a down payment for Burgess Funeral Home.  if you would like to assist in any way you can also make donations directly to Burgess funeral home for Johnny Franklin Helms Jr
