Memorial Fund for Jordan Hakeem

Donation protected

Dear Family and Friends,

On February 9, 2019, I lost my half-brother, Jordan, to drugs that he did not know were laced heavily with fentanyl.  This led to him suffering cardiac arrest. When the paramedics arrived, they found no pulse. Because he was only 28 years old, they aggressively tried to resuscitate him and finally managed to do so and brought him to the hospital. He was put on life support in intensive care.  After a week we, as his family, had to make the agonizing decision to discontinue life support as we were told by doctors that there was no chance of survival.

He leaves behind his mom, my step-mother, Shirley Goray, and my half-brother, Phillip Hakeem, who is autistic.  Not only did my step-mother lose her child, but earlier that week on February 5th, she also lost her sister, Debbie Goray, who was severely disabled with Multiple Sclerosis.

My step-mother is 64 years old and has been a single mother for nearly 20 years, while being the caretaker of Phillip and Debbie. I really don’t know how she’s going to go back to work after experiencing the trauma of losing a child, while taking care of my brother Phillip.

That’s why I want to raise these funds in order to help her take all the time she needs to get back on her feet while having the security to take care of my brother.

I hope this fund speaks to your heart and you can help a little.

Thank you
