Memorial fund for Diane Jones

Donation protected

It saddens us deeply to write this, but on October 21, 2018 our sweet aunt, Diane Jones, was called upon by God to be an angel at only 69 years young.  A wonderfully kind and vibrant woman, Diane was an accomplished singer/entertainer and part of the husband/wife duo, Windfall. This sudden loss is incredibly heartbreaking. We’re setting up this GoFundMe page to assist with funeral costs, any outstanding medical bills and to ease the financial strain on the family.

Diane was diagnosed with stage four Endometrial cancer in September 2018. After much consideration and even a second opinion, she had surgery to remove the mass. She had the most positive spirit, and the phrase “living the dream, working on the miracle” became her mantra. The surgery went well, however after being home just a few days, Diane ended up back at the ER and admitted, due to a possible GI bleed. She was very weak and couldn't keep anything down. From there she was transported by ambulance to The Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia. She was scheduled to be starting Chemo treatments that week as well however, her lack of strength would not allow it. The cancer was vigorous, taking over her body in a rapid manner. She was barely conscious at times, and often hardly able to move, yet her spirit fought valiantly. One of Diane’s greatest loves was music, so we sang to her and she would move her feet and try to sing with us at times. Vernon, Diane's husband, had her favorite playlist of music and played that for her as well.

It was devastating to see someone go through this and a difficult thing to explain. It all happened so abruptly, even the doctors were in shock and at a loss for words.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and share our story. The Dixon/Jones family is grateful for the outpouring of support and love. We encourage everyone to share this link on your page as well. Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated.  Diane’s Legacy continues to live on through all of us, Her Family, Friends & Fans.

With immense gratitude and love,
