Mark Gnadt’s Memorial Fund

Mark Scott Gnadt, 61, of Alma, Kansas died Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.

Mark was born June 12, 1956 in Manhattan, Kansas a son of Martin and Mary Louise (Scott) Gnadt. He attended St. John Lutheran Elementary school. He graduated from Alma High School in 1974.
Mark worked as a Union Carpenter for several years. He took several Vo-Tech courses obtaining his Master Carpenter and Journeyman Certificates. He actively worked on many commercial buildings including ENBAF, KBI building at Washburn University in Topeka and several buildings on Ft. Riley.

Since childhood he had a natural ability to destruct, re-construct, or re-purpose anything, especially vehicles and appliances. Glue and duct tape were considered tools. He attended the annual BMW Motorcycle Husker Rally in Franklin, Nebraska; in 2017 he won the "Oldest Motorcycle" Award. His children often accompanied him, several times winning the "Youngest Rider" awards. He enjoyed racing dirt bikes and working on the farm.

Mark married Carla Kay Ragan on February 26, 2001 in McFarland, Kansas. She survives at their home.
He is also survived by his father, Martin Gnadt, his children Robin Jamie Gnadt (Bruce), Louisville, Scott Mark Gnadt, Wamego, Grace Marie Gnadt, Alma, Josh Lawson (Peggy), Perry, Jeremy Lawson, Navarre, Florida, Erika Davis (Scott), Palm Coast, Florida and Andrew James Ragan-Stevenson, Alma; his grandchildren, Samantha Marie and Rosalina Claire and step-grandchildren; His siblings, Donna Tranter (Andie), Harveyville, Kathy Davis (Ron), Auburn. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou, his siblings, Paul Gnadt and Mary Gnadt.

Marks wishes were to be cremated. There will be a private gathering for family and friends held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to Mark Gnadt’s Go Fund Me Page to help with medical expenses; there is a link to that page at www.campanellafuneral.com.
