Memorial for Chioma Ebichi

We are Umu Igbo Unite Austin, a sub chapter of Umu Igbo Unite. We are a 501(c) non-profit organization based out of Austin, Tx and we focus on the promotion of Igbo culture, providing a forum for young professionals to network, and building a family community.

Chioma Ebichi also known as Jennifer Ebichi was a wife, mother, daughter, aunty, sister, twin, friend, entrepreneur, and God fearing woman. Her name Chioma means God is good and she exalted him in good times and in bad times. Chioma had a huge heart that was so giving, she would give her love, time, energy, and knowledge out freely to those who seek these intangibles with no expectation of anything in return.  She had such a great sense of humor and a laugh that was contagious. If you wanted somebody to really make your joke a hit, tell it to Chioma and she will guarantee you a few extra chuckles.

Chioma served as our provost on our chapter board, her role was to bring peace, clarity, and organization in any of our gatherings. She did this with grace, always able to dissect the topic and communicate everyone's point of view without making anyone feel less than for their opinions or contributions.

These funds are needed to provide financial support to her family which she has sadly left behind. The funds will be used for funeral expenses, living expenses, and to help take care of the two survived children who are 3 years and 11 months old. She is survived by Two beautiful daughters and her Husband.  These funds will be needed as soon as possible, as time waits for no one.  Even though Chioma's life was taken abruptly, her families expenses don't stop. 

Umu Igbo Unite Austin chapter plans to withdraw the money and present the funds to the family as a group.

Chioma's husband, Emeka Ebichi will be in charge of final expenses, as  100% of all donations will be donated to the Ebichi household.

Unfortunately, our beloved Chioma was taken away from us too soon but her memory will live on forever.
