Melinda's Medical Expenses

I am humbly asking for donations for my niece Melinda Beltran and her parents.  Melinda is a great young lady who has always done what she can for others.  She has always done well in academics and has always shown great commitment and dedication in athletics.  She is a very caring person and is always willing to help anyone in need. She has always played in different sports, but her passion is softball. She has been playing softball since the age of 3.  On Sunday, April 8, 2018, my niece had an injury to her face during her softball game.  She was playing the game that she loves with her team, Laredo Community College Lady Palomino Softball team when she was hit by a quick return line drive to her face.  She was pitching and took a very hard return to her face that resulted in multiple face fractures.  She was rushed to a hospital in Brenham, TX where she was evaluated and had CT scans done.  After reviewing the results of the scans, she was transported to Temple, TX to be re-evaluated by specialists. The major concern was her eyeball and the break that she has between her nose and her eyeball. She has a broken nose, broken cheek bone, and several breakages all around her eyeball itself, the orbit.  She will be going back to Temple, TX  next week for her plastic surgical procedure.  The plastic surgical team specialists will be repairing her breaks with Titanium mesh and screws all around her eye orbit. Although they have personal medical insurance and the athletic insurance, she will still be left with a large debt of what not will be covered.  She needs the surgical procedure to keep her eye in place and there is no other way than to have this procedure done. This procedure has to be done before the period of two weeks to prevent further breakage or infection.  Her parents traveled to be with her during this emergency and had to take unpaid days off  of work to care for their daughter with the expenses of gas, food, and hotels. They will be traveling again next week for the days of the surgical procedure, the recovery,  the re-evaluation and to monitor to make sure that her eyeball is in a good position and will not stick to the Titanium mesh and will be able to move properly.  Again, these days will have to be taken off of work without pay.  I know that it will be difficult to deal with the worry of their daughter's injuries and situation, and I would really like to help out by creating this GoFundMe to help alleviate some financial stress. It would be a great opportunity to help them in not having to deal with the stress of financial monthly debt and well as expensive medical debt of her surgical reconstruction procedure not covered by the insurances.  I would truly appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to help out and donate to help my family.  Anything and everything is truly appreciated.  Thank you very much in advance.
