Melinda's Hurricane

Donation protected
Melinda's home on Cudjoe Key, Florida, was destroyed during Hurricane Irma on September 9-11, 2017.  She is now deciding where she will live because what she had in the home is a loss.  She will be living with her daughter (Shaina)  and son-in-law  (George) and her two grand-children (Skyler and Sasha)   on a temporary basis.  She was teaching fourth grade students in Florida  which situation was also disrupted by the hurricane.
Since there will be very few opportunities for "Garage Sales" in the Keys for a while, she will have to start from scratch in refurnishing a home.

My relation to Melinda is that I am her Father and am serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the Southern California Seminary in El Cajon, CA. where her mother, Lorretta, and I, live.  All funds will go directly to Melinda to "re-start" her home needs and tide her over until she can find a more permanent living situation and another position for work. Since she has no place to live in the Keys, and with 11,000+ homeless people there, she will not be able to rent or be able to work there without a home.  Her books and personal supplies were victims of the hurricane as well.
